Jesus traveled
through towns and countryside, preaching and announcing the good news of God’s kingdom. The Twelve followed him,

along with some women who had been healed of evil spirits and illnesses: Mary called Magdalene, who had been freed from seven demons;

Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Suzanna; and others who supported them financially.
Commentaries
Women Following Jesus.
With Jesus, all prejudices against women are erased; men and women share the same dignity, as in the beginning (Gn 1:27); God blessed both and entrusted them with stewardship, enjoyment, and care of creation. Correctly, the kingdom proclaimed and started by Jesus breaks all molds and expectations.
