Hebrews 10:4-10
Chapter 10
4
and the blood of bulls and goats will never remove these sins.
5
This is why, when Christ entered the world, he said: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
6
in burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
7
Then I said: “Here I am. It was written of me in the scroll. Here I am to do your will, O God.”
8
First, he says: Sacrifice, offerings, burnt offerings, and sin offerings you did not desire nor were you pleased with them—although they were required by the law.
9
Then he says: Here I am to do your will. This is enough to nullify the first will and establish the new one.
10
Now, by God’s will, we are sanctified once and for all through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ’s body.

Commentaries
The Effectiveness of Christ’s Sacrifice and the Priesthood of Believers.
The preacher goes further, explaining that Christ’s priesthood makes all believers priests like Him, enabling us to offer our lives of love and service to God and our brothers and sisters as a true sacrifice, pleasing to God. In this way, we are connected with Christ’s sacrifice. This is what we mean when we say that we are members of the Body of Christ.
