The Levites responsible for economic and administrative matters are mentioned. Regarding the Levite judges, these roles are assigned to the Levites by royal authority and are separate from cultic service. Elsewhere in the Bible, judges are not identified as Levites; this is undoubtedly an invention of the Chronicler.
