2 John

The elder to the chosen Lady and her children, whom I sincerely love—and with me, all who know the truth—

because of this same truth that is, and will be, within us forever. 

Grace, mercy, and peace be with us, in the name of God the Father and of his Son, Christ Jesus, in truth and love.

I was very happy to meet some of your children who live according to the truth, as we were commanded by the Father. 

And now, I ask you, Lady—I am not writing you a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning—I ask you: let us love one another. 

This is love: to walk according to his commandments. And this is the commandment: that you walk in love, as you have learned from the beginning.

Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess that Jesus is the Christ, who came in the flesh. Any such person is an impostor and the antichrist.

 Take care of yourselves so that you do not lose the fruit of your labor but receive a full reward.

Everyone who goes beyond or does not stay within the teachings of Christ does not have God. The one who stays in the teachings has both the Father and the Son.

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not welcome him into your house or even greet him, 

for to welcome is to participate in the wicked deeds of such a person.

I have many things to tell you, but I prefer not to write them down. I hope to meet you and talk in person so that our joy may be complete.
