Bible Verses

But the Lord replied: “You hypocrites! Everyone of you unties his ox or his donkey on the Sabbath and leads it out of the barn to give it water. 

But the ruler of the synagogue was angry because Jesus had performed this healing on the Sabbath day, and he said to the people:  “There are six days for work. Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath!”

Then he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight and praised God.

Seeing her, Jesus called her over and said:  “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.” 

and just then there appeared a woman who an evil spirit had caused to be bent for eighteen years, preventing her from straightening up at all. 

 Jesus was teaching in a synagogue on the Sabbath, 

maybe it will bear fruit from now on. But if it doesn’t, you can cut it down.’

 The gardener replied:  ‘Leave it one more year, so I can dig around it and add some fertilizer, 

Then he told the gardener:  ‘Look here, I’ve been searching for figs on this tree for three years and found none. Cut it down, why should it keep draining the soil?’ 

And Jesus continued:  “A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit on it but found none.
