But seeing the strong wind, he was afraid and began to sink; he cried out: “Lord, save me!”

Jesus told him: “Come!” Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water to go to Jesus.

Peter responded: “Lord, if it is you, tell me to come to you on the water.”

But immediately, Jesus said to them: “Take courage! Don’t be afraid. It’s me!”

When they saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, thinking it was a ghost. And they cried out in fear.

At dawn, Jesus walked on the sea to reach them.

Meanwhile, the boat was far from land, dangerously rocked by the waves, because the wind was against it.

After sending the people away, he went up the mountain alone to pray. By nightfall, he was there all alone.

He Walks On Water Immediately, Jesus obliged his disciples to get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the crowd away.

About five thousand men had eaten there, along with women and children.
