Seals were historically used to identify property, authenticate documents, and safeguard valuable or secret items. The sealed book is God’s exclusive possession and contains the hidden plans of his salvation strategy. Jesus Christ, the Lamb, can break the seven seals of the book one by one. He opens it entirely so that God’s decrees can be fulfilled.
