After finishing the discussion about charisms and their use, Paul addresses a new concern brought to his attention through rumors: “How can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?” (12). Paul connects Jesus’ resurrection closely to our own. He does so in a clear and organized way.
The resurrection of Jesus, in addition to being a “real event,” is also a “reality of faith.” That’s why the Church from the beginning was not just a movement with undefined boundaries but a community called together and united around this “reality of faith” based on the “witnesses of the resurrection,” the apostles.
This still holds true today and will continue to be so forever.
