The priestly vestments were completed with a mantle, a type of cloak worn over the ephod (31), and a golden flower engraved with the words “Consecrated to the Lord” (36), which was attached to the turban (37) positioned at forehead level. Its purpose was to reconcile the people with the Lord for any possible cultic faults. These ornaments would be worn by the “sons of Aaron and their descendants” (43).
